Job Description
Resideo is seeking a Principal Accountant to join the Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting group. The Principal Accountant will research technical accounting matters, prepare technical accounting memorandums, and develop and maintain accounting policies. The role will involve ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations and implementing accounting standards alterations. The Principal Accountant will also assist in driving accounting excellence across the accounting organization and maintaining a strong internal control environment.
Requirements
- 8+ years' accounting/finance experience or equivalent public accounting experience
- 5+ years' experience with quarterly and annual SEC reports
- 5+ years' experience interpreting or implementing complex accounting standards
- Working knowledge of financial systems/applications (Workiva, HFM, Smart View, SAP, Microsoft Suite)
- CPA Certification
