Mid Database Engineer

Role Overview

Join Chenega MIOS as a Mid Database Engineer and work with a broad range of customers on enterprise database design and implementation strategies while applying Esri technology best practices. You will consult with customers to understand business and technical requirements, design enterprise data management strategies, and implement those strategies throughout the engagement life cycle.

What You Will Do

Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission-critical applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, configure and maintain database environments, monitor and tune database performance, implement data security measures, and automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA
• Familiarity with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security
• Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows
• Active or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
