Linux Engineer, Senior

We are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to join our dynamic team in support of our Navy clients in Bethesda, Maryland. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and security of our systems while implementing innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Security Clearance: Active Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance required.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Linux System Administration (RHEL/CentOS).
• Ansible Automation Platform (AAP): At least 3 years of specialized experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, including demonstrated proficiency in: Creating and managing Execution Environments (EEs) using ansible-builder, Managing inventories, workflows, and job templates within Automation Controller, Developing custom Ansible Collections and reusable playbooks.
• Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and system integration.
• Security Compliance: Experience hardening systems in accordance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and NIST 800-53 standards.
• Education: Associate degree or higher in a technical or related field.
• Certifications: Compliance with IAT Level III baseline certification requirements, CompTIA Security+ CE (required; meets DoD 8570 IAT Level III requirements), Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) (preferred)
