An Ophthalmic Technician assists an Ophthalmologist in providing patient care by handling various duties and using equipment for initial testing. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent customer service, and the ability to anticipate Physician needs.

Requirements

• Provide exceptional customer service during patient encounters
• Anticipate Physician needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA
• Verify patient information
• Record patient data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Perform diagnostic tests, including dilation, refraction, pressures, and visual fields
• Accurately document medical visits and procedures
• Prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures
• Maintain examination rooms and supplies
• Perform general office duties and cleaning
