Payroll Accountant

We are looking for a Payroll Accountant to join our team at Ikerian AG, a fast-growing medical device software company headquartered in Bern, Switzerland. The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for managing and processing the company's payroll, ensuring accurate and timely compensation to employees while maintaining compliance with applicable tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll/HR or accounting roles
• Fluency in English, German is a plus
• Strong knowledge of international payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws
• Experience with payroll software and accounting systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Experience with multi-state or international payroll
• Self starter, proactive and independent personality
• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
