Job Description
Avoya Travel is hiring a full-time Sr. Python Backend Developer to design and build robust backend services and APIs using modern Python frameworks, working with MS SQL databases and Azure cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings strong Python expertise, sound software engineering practices, and a collaborative mindset.
Requirements
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI
- Work with SQLModel and MS SQL Server databases to build efficient data layers
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into web-based applications
- Deploy and manage applications hosted on Microsoft Azure
- Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to deliver features
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews via Bitbucket and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to sprint planning and task management in Jira
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required
