Flight Medic

The Flight Medic provides medical care to patients during transport, evaluates, coordinates, and delivers care, and is familiar with the scope of practice of the transport team members and state rules and regulations. They work with the transport team to coordinate patient care, complete pre-flight checklists, and document patient information. They also assist pilots with baggage search and ensure patient safety and security.

Requirements

• Three to four years related experience or equivalent as first responder EMS system
• Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS certification
• Certification of a DOT approved flight physiology course
• Florida State license and/or Arizona State License
• Current Passport
• Proficient on Microsoft Suite including word processing
