Senior Backend Engineer (Rust)

Revel is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build scalable backend services in Rust, handle large-scale industrial telemetry, and contribute to the evolution of their data platform. This role focuses on designing and implementing backend services and data pipelines that handle high-volume, high-frequency, and high-cardinality data.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend or systems engineering experience
• Experience building data pipelines, distributed systems, or backend infrastructure
• Experience working with high-throughput, time-series, and high-cardinality data
• Proficiency in Rust, or strong experience in C++/systems programming with interest in learning Rust
• Experience designing data storage and querying systems
• Ability to work through ambiguity and contribute to system design decisions
