Certified Social Studies Teacher

Richard Milburn Academy seeks a High School Social Studies Teacher for the 2026/2027 School Year. The teacher will be responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, knowledgeable, responsible men and women.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Valid teacher certification which is grade level and subject area appropriate
• Prior experience or formal training in working with 'at risk' students
• Ability to work in a polite and friendly manner with a variety of constituencies
• Ability to effectively educate and manage students from varying backgrounds and socio-economic levels
• Experience in effectively handling conflict
