Job Description
The SMART Group (Co) Facilitator role involves facilitating or co-facilitating regular SMART meetings, helping newcomers feel welcome, and empowering everyone in the meeting to contribute. Volunteers will need to complete the full SMART Recovery UK facilitator training programme. The role is suited to people with lived experience of recovery or an empathetic, non-judgemental attitude.
Requirements
- Facilitating or co-facilitating regular SMART meetings
- Helping newcomers feel welcome and empower everyone in the meeting to contribute
- Completing the full SMART Recovery UK facilitator training programme
- Linking closely with the group lead to plan and evaluate sessions
- Reporting any concerns, including related to safeguarding
- Procuring necessary resources and setting up before/packing away after each meeting
