Job Description
Richmond Steel Recycling is a company that aims to create a world without waste to preserve our planet. The company is looking for a Maintenance - Welder to join their team. The job involves welding metal components together using various welding equipment and performing related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to comfortably wear a respirator and all other PPE.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak and understand English.
- Ability to pass company welder’s test.
- Education: Completion of college/vocational or technical training with hours to back Welding Level C Ticket
- Welding Techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) Metal Inert gas (MIG)
- Metal cutting with standard gases.
