Job Description
The Junior Estimator supports by assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely cost estimates for heavy civil, roadway, utility, bridge, asphalt, and site development projects operating throughout New York state and New England.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in heavy civil, roadway, or site construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, site plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff tools (Bluebeam, HCSS, or similar).
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
