Job Description
Rigetti is seeking a Senior Quantum Engineer, Readout to optimize superconducting qubit readout and reset in Rigetti’s quantum processors and fault-tolerant prototypes. This role involves leading experimental efforts to characterize and improve measurement protocols, signal chains, and device layouts. The engineer will contribute to advancing the speed and fidelity of readout and reset in Rigetti's quantum computing systems to fulfill its roadmap toward fault tolerance.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of industry and/or postdoctoral experience
- Deep expertise in circuit quantum electrodynamics and dispersive readout
- Demonstrated ability to perform measurements and explain results
- Experience with software development in an industry setting
- Experience with low-level pulse optimization
- Excellent communication skills
