Job Description
planqc is seeking a Senior Quantum Hardware Engineer to collaborate with scientists and experts in quantum technology. The role involves designing, building, and integrating quantum computers, including module leadership, system integration, and ongoing learning. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Garching or Ulm.
Requirements
- A PhD or Postdoc with a strong background in AMO physics.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and operating lasers and optical systems.
- Experience with atom arrays based on optical tweezers, Rydberg atoms, alkaline-earth-metal atoms, and high-numerical aperture imaging.
- Programming experience (i.e., python) and electronics design skills.
- Mechanical design skills.
