Job Description
We are recruiting for a Italy Safety Plan Approval Engineer to join our office in Trieste, Italy within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division. The role focuses on supporting the elaboration of detailed plan and design reviews, resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements, and ensuring client requirements and applicable standards are met.
Requirements
- Review and approve drawings of safety, fire protection for ships and offshore units, on the basis of the assigned tasks.
- Review and approve drawings of lifesaving appliances and navigation lights for ships and offshore units, on the basis of the assigned tasks.
- Activities relevant to drawing approval for the issue of certificates for marine equipment for MED Directive and RINA Type Approval.
- Verification of the compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations (e.g. SOLAS Convention, COLREG Convention, National Flag requirements) for new buildings, ships in service, and ship’s conversions.
