RINA is currently recruiting for a Malta Marine Surveyor to join its office in Malta within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division. A surveyor in a classification society plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and quality of ships and marine assets.
Requirements
- Ensure strict adherence to classification society rules, international regulations, and statutory requirements during surveys and inspections.
- Provide expert technical advice to clients, shipowners, and manufacturers on matters related to classification, design, construction, and maintenance.
- Implement quality assurance measures in survey processes to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and reliability in inspection reports.
- Educate clients on classification society processes, rules, and the importance of compliance for safety and operational efficiency.
- Use standardized templates for inspection reports, ensuring consistency, clarity and timeliness in reporting.
- Collaborate with colleagues, both within the classification society and externally, to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with evolving industry standards, technologies, and best practices.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions, ensuring integrity, transparency, and fairness in survey processes.
