Job Description
Poland Principal Hull Plan Approval Engineer to join its office in Gdansk within the North Europe Marine Division. Ensure that plan and design reviews are analyzed according to the highest quality standards, ensuring that client requirements and applicable standards or adequate safety criteria are met.
Requirements
- Review and approve hull structural drawings of ships, offshore units, and marine equipment, in compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations, for new buildings, ships in service, and ship’s conversions.
- Assist clients during the design and construction phase, providing guidance and support related to structural design.
- Ensure that reviews of novel aspects, falling outside the plan approval field of competence, are of the highest quality and in compliance with applicable RINA rules, international conventions and contractual requirements.
- Resolve complex issues related to conflicting design requirements and material standards.
- Perform complex or non-standard assessments and provide expert advice for service delivery, research or development work within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
