Job Description
Ripple Effect is looking for a NLM Bioinformatics Specialist and Developer to support the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in its efforts to accelerate biomedical discovery and improve public health through data-powered research.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience
- Advanced degree (PhD or MD)
- Demonstrated expertise in NLP, ML/DL, image processing, high-performance computing, data visualization, or information retrieval
- Proven track record of leading complex research or development projects in healthcare, life sciences, or public health
- Experience with large-scale biomedical datasets, clinical data standards, and data integration techniques
- Strong understanding of federal IT security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP)
