Job Description
Prevention Educator will work with youth aged 5-20, utilizing evidence-based practices and providing counseling services. They will also assist in outreach efforts and supervise after-school programming.
Requirements
- Utilize Evidence Based Practice (EBP) with youth aged 5-20 years
- Attend EBP curricula training sessions
- Monitor participant attendance
- Submit documentation on a monthly basis
- Refer participants for support services
- Assist in outreach efforts to school administrators, teachers, and parents
- Collaborate in the supervision of after school and summer programming
- Supervise after school Prevention Group Leaders
- Participate in weekly individual and monthly group case conference sessions
- Attend community meetings
- Complete weekly counseling and EBP sessions
- Maintain detailed records and meet prescribed deadlines
- Communicate well verbally and in writing
- Meet changing priorities and deadlines
