Journeyperson Electrician

Rising Edge Group is an electrical contracting company seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to perform maintenance, upgrading and installation of equipment in 13.8kV to 500 kV substations. The role requires a valid and recognized Journeyperson Electrician Certificate, minimum 5 years of work experience as an Electrician with at least 2 years of experience working in substations, and thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) with BC Amendments.

Requirements

• Valid and recognized Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience as an Electrician with at least 2 years of experience working in substations
• PSSP/WPP, Cat 5 or equivalent training and certifications considered an asset
• Experience in BC Hydro or utility-related work preferred
• High-voltage experience considered a strong asset
• Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent, with an acceptable driving record
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office and computer-based test equipment would be an asset
