Your tasks
As a Data Scientist Credit Risk, you will be involved in our projects with a quantitative focus in risk management of financial institutions. In this position, you will act as a link between methodology and technical implementation and work on a wide range of tasks with an analytical-statistical focus, from data preparation to analysis and modeling to visualization of results. With increasing experience, you will take on responsibility for sub-projects and smaller teams. Your field of activity includes in particular:
- Development and validation: You develop and validate risk models such as rating, credit portfolio, or pricing models for regulatory and internal purposes
- Machine learning methods: By using modern advanced analytics and machine learning techniques, you optimize the model quality and performance further
- Automation: You support our customers in automating internal bank processes and finding efficient solutions, for example for report creation, data analysis, or validation actions
- Risk management and methods: With the competences acquired on the projects, you will be the contact person for our customers for versatile questions around risk management and help whenever in-depth methodological knowledge is required
- Prototyping: By conceiving prototypes and user interfaces, you make a significant contribution to transparency, understandability, and applicability of the developed methods
- Know-how development: Together with our team, you contribute to the further development of our know-how in topics such as credit risk management, data science, or programming within our specialist panels
What you bring
University degree and experience: Completed Master's degree with a quantitative focus and/or initial professional experience in the financial sector, particularly in the field of credit risk management or data science
Statistics: Fundamentally understanding statistical methods and procedures such as, for example, statistical tests, regression, and classification techniques
Coding: Initial knowledge of common programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python and database systems such as SQL
Analytical thinking: Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills and quick grasp of concepts
Teamwork: Enjoy working in project teams and with customers
Language skills: Very good German language skills in word and writing
