The Head Coach will lead the Middle School Boys Soccer team and is responsible for the compliance of squad members to the rules, regulations, and policies governing athletics at the assigned school. The coach will be the liaison between the coaching staff and the Athletic Director and will have a thorough knowledge of the Rules and By-Laws of the California Interscholastic Federation, the League, and the River Delta Unified School District as they pertain to the sport.
Requirements
- To be hired and cleared to coach, applicants must complete training certificates for various courses, including Sexual Harassment training, General Coaching Course, and Sports Specific Course
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the Rules and By-Laws of the California Interscholastic Federation, the League, and the River Delta Unified School District
- Must be able to establish the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques to be taught by the staff and delegate specific duties, supervise implementation, and analyze staff effectiveness
- Must maintain discipline, mediate grievances, and work to increase morale
- Must be able to coordinate facility needs and repairs with maintenance and school employees and provide proper safeguards for equipment
- Must monitor the grades and conduct of athletes and provide assistance, guidance, and safeguards for each participant
- Must complete paperwork on all disabling athletic injuries and submit to the Athletic Director by the next school day
- Must direct student managers, assistants, and statisticians and determine discipline, delineate procedures concerning due process when enforcement of discipline is necessary
