Medical Assistant - Vascular Specialists

The Medical Assistant is responsible for patient care, technical, and clerical functions under the supervision of the physician and practice manager, supporting quality and safe care. Maintains excellent clinical competency, prepares patients for examination, and administers medications and vaccines under supervision. Assists with processing prescription refill requests, maintains medical inventory, and ensures compliance with healthcare regulations. Acts as a liaison between physician and patient, providing support and comfort, and demonstrates excellent customer service. Exhibits knowledge of lab procedures, follows insurance carrier guidelines, and maintains a working knowledge of ICD9 and CPT coding. Supports productivity goals and maximizes physician visits to meet quality measures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Program Graduate, Medical Assistant
• 1 year Clinical experience
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Upon Hire
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire
• CCMA - National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Upon Hire
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) Upon Hire
• Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Upon Hire
• Medical Assistant (MA) - American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) Upon Hire
