Patient Care Assistant Med Surg Medical 2 (5-East) Part Time-Nights available at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. Performs various tasks under RN supervision, including wound care, EKGs, and phlebotomy. Promotes safe work environment and follows national patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 1 year Prior health care experience in hospital setting (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire
• Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) In lieu of CNA certification, will accept EMT-B (Basic) from the Virginia Department of Health Professions or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, or Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), or Medical Assistant Program Graduate, or Currently enrolled in LPN or RN diploma or degree program with at least 80 clinical hours completed Upon Hire
