Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care of assigned patients in a Labor and Delivery setting. Utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient. Supervises and delegates non-professional personnel to ensure optimum patient care.

Requirements

• Demonstrates ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs
• Partners with patients and families to develop, implement, and evaluate plan of care
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the coordination care
• Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements
• Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations
