The Lead Electrical Engineer is a senior-level technical expert responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing power distribution systems for RK Mission Critical's modular electrical product designs. This position leads complex electrical design efforts involving UPS systems, switchboards, and switchgear integration while providing advanced technical guidance to engineering, production, and field teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field
- Master Degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering is a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
- 8+ years of relevant electrical engineering, design and integration experience in critical power systems, modular data centers, or large-scale electrical infrastructure
- Proven expertise with UPS systems, switchboards, and switchgear integration in prefabricated or modular environments
- Deep understanding of power distribution design, protective device coordination, and load flow analysis
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent electrical design platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and field execution teams
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (Uptime, NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, UL)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on manufacturability
- Strong background in DFM/DFA principles applied to electrical assemblies
- Proven track record of developing and implementing design standards and best practices across teams or product lines and system reliability
- Ability to work independently while driving technical excellence across multiple projects simultaneously
