Job Description
A Production Planner at RK Mechanical plays a critical role in driving project efficiency, cost control, and on-time delivery by strategically aligning labor, materials, fabrication schedules, and field installation needs.
Requirements
- Responsible for ensuring the CAD (DETAILING)/FAB process results in products that are fabricated by the Shop personnel meet or exceed the customer’s requirements.
- Assist the Shop Superintendent in ensuring that the CAD/FAB process results in a product that meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements.
- Ensure continuous improvement of the company’s employees through development planning.
- Assist in the scheduling of fabrication.
- Verify estimated hours for sequences are being placed in Sequence Plan by Operations.
- Supervise and coordinate material procurement with purchasing to meet requirements of fabrication sequence plans based on construction schedules and shop requirements.
- Manage and analyze shop productivity tracking, establish shop production rates for review and disposition by shop superintendent.
