The MCE Lead directs and performs major component exchanges on wind turbines while leading field crews to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
Requirements
- Lead a team in performing turbine component exchanges (gearboxes, generators, blades, pitch bearings, hubs, etc.).
- Serve as on-site lead, ensuring safety, task allocation, and job flow.
- Execute heavy rigging, crane calling, generator alignments, LOTO, and up-tower leadership.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues across all turbine components.
- Train, coach, and mentor technicians at Levels I–III; maximize individual contributions.
- Communicate with site leadership and RNWBL Ops on progress, risks, and close-out.
- Oversee tool readiness, work documentation, and compliance with OEM and RNWBL standards.
- Champion safety culture, enforce protocols, and model RNWBL values on site.
