Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking an Avionics Test Engineer to join their Ion Propulsion Team on the Electron rocket, contributing to the development of avionics hardware and systems. This role involves testing, prototyping, and deploying hardware, including power electronic systems, high-voltage components, and FPGAs, ensuring quality and reliability in a fast-paced development environment. The team focuses on design, creation, and deployment of satellites and components, and utilizes automation software.
Requirements
- Develop, plan, and execute test campaigns for avionics components
- Collaborate with design engineers and external customers
- Develop automation software in Python, and C/C++
- Complete component risk analysis, failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA)
- Troubleshooting skills
