Job Description
Roku is seeking a Research Data Scientist to join their Core Analytics team and scale their experimentation platform. The role involves building data pipelines, analyzing experiments, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to drive data-driven decisions and optimize experimentation. This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing company with a focus on connecting the TV ecosystem.
Requirements
- 2+ years of work experience with a PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, etc.)
- 5+ years of equivalent practical experience with a master’s degree.
- Deep knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning techniques.
- Hands-on experience with experimental design, A/B testing, causal inference, and statistical modeling/forecasting.
- Expertise in SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other programming languages to query data and perform analysis.
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.
- Bias towards action and problem-solving.
