Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Ground Control Engineer with experience in Geotechnics and Hydrogeology to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability of open pits, waste dumps, and providing essential support to tailings dumps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or equivalent
- Eligible for a professional order registration
- Post graduate qualification in mining or business-related field is an added advantage
- +15 years of experience in mine operations (Open Pit) area that include at least 7 years in drilling and blasting departments
- Strong knowledge of slope stability, surface water management, and dewatering design
- Experience in conducting hydrogeological assessments and geotechnical modeling
- Familiarity with geotechnical design software and tools (e.g. mine site)
- Experience in developing and maintaining geotechnical and hydrogeological monitoring programs
- Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break
