Job Description
Rovio is seeking a Lead Game Developer to shape the technical direction of a new action game, mentoring a team and contributing to the codebase. The role involves leading the development lifecycle from ideation to launch, focusing on gameplay mechanics, scalability, and code quality. The team is located in Izmir and Barcelona.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills, especially knowledge of Unity, C#
- Working experience shipping live games, including understanding game design
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills
- Proficiency in debugging, profiling and performance optimisation
- Strong knowledge of game architecture and technologies
- Good knowledge of SOLID principles and software development practices
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
- Good knowledge of game design and user experience
