Job Description
Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preservation and upkeep of the property, following OSHA standards and company safety policies. The role requires excellent attendance and communication skills, and the ability to build lasting business relationships. The incumbent will perform a variety of tasks, including repairs, maintenance, and custodial work.
Requirements
- OSHA standards and company safety policy knowledge
- Excellent attendance and communication skills
- Ability to build lasting business relationships
- Ability to work under time constraints and complete tasks in a reasonable timeframe
- Knowledge of property HVAC units and ability to troubleshoot units
- Ability to read, understand and follow instructions contained in handwritten/printed service requests
- Ability to read and understand various manuals, instructions and other printed materials
- Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
- High School Diploma or equivalent and previous experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift and carry weights up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance
- Ability to safely use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, saws, various power tools including hand held drills and circular saws
- Ability to safely ascend and descend various types of ladders unassisted
