Medical Underwriter

We are looking for a Medical Underwriter to join our team at Royal London. The role involves assessing and analysing protection applications, supporting continuous improvement, and working closely with colleagues to deliver great customer experiences. We welcome applications from Underwriters at all levels, with experience in protection underwriting, using underwriting manuals and tools, managing risk, and delivering strong customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Assess and analyse protection applications
• Apply sound judgement, working within agreed frameworks
• Support continuous improvement and shape underwriting practices
• Work closely with colleagues across Operations, Proposition, Distribution and Compliance
• Contribute to the development of tools, processes and best practices
