The Communications Technician shall be responsible for organizational repair/maintenance of all communications equipment, including Fixed Site Antennae Mast Group (FSAMG) and Tactical Site Interface Kit (TSIK) towers, in support of the Fire Units and Battalions. The Communications Tech shall provide technical assistance and sustainment/refresher training to UAE personnel.
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The CTA Communications Technician shall have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the repair, operation and sustainment of UHF / VHF communication systems and networks and possess a demonstrated experience and knowledge of PATRIOT communication networks
- Shall be a graduate of the Communications / Network Switching Repairer (MOSs 25F/25U) Course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's course of instruction on communication systems
- The CTA Communications Technician shall possess work experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, disassembly, repair, assembly and checkout of communication / network switching systems
- The CTA Communications Technician shall have additional demonstrated experience of one (1) year or more in network administration and operation with TCIP, VOIP and fiber optic network operations
- The CTA Communications Technician shall possess a demonstrated skill in the use of engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, general-purpose commercial test equipment, and common tools
- The CTA Communications Technician shall have certification as a Communications Tower Worker (climb certification)
