Job Description
Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Principal Engineer, Software Engineering in Cedar Rapids, IA. The successful candidate will design, develop, and test control and diagnostic systems of Avionics Safety Critical Embedded Software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
- At least 8 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer in the Aerospace/Defense industry
- 5 years of experience in Development and certification of Safety critical Flight Deck Avionics software
- 5 years of software engineering project management experience with leading scrum teams
- 5 years of experience with Avionics regulatory and Certification requirements and processes
- 5 years of experience with DOORS, Jama, Jira, Confluence, and/or Microsoft Project
