Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Engineer to join their Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering Team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and support COTS-based and custom designed systems for the global aerospace and defense industry. The role requires experience in electronic design, comfortable working with commercial off-the-shelf and custom hardware designs to achieve system requirements.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience completing technical documentation relating to Configuration Control, Change Management, Trade Studies, Preliminary and Detailed Design artifacts and presentations
- Experience writing detailed verification test plans and test reports
- Prior experience collaborating in a multi-functional environment
