Collins Aerospace is looking for a Principal Software Lead Engineer to collaborate with high-performance teams to create mission-critical solutions that support Mission Systems. The role involves driving embedded software engineering excellence, leading technical proposals and program cost estimations, and managing software execution for small teams.
The Principal Software Lead Engineer will demonstrate expert proficiency in embedded C/C++ and Python, lead technical proposals and program cost estimations, lead and coordinate software execution for small teams, translate customer requirements into comprehensive solutions, manage program cost, schedule, and risk, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
The ideal candidate will have experience with cost account management, integrated master schedule, ROAM process, risk/opportunity frameworks, and product owner skillsets. They will also have a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
