Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team at the Renner Road facility in Richardson, Texas. The successful candidate will serve as a System/Software Quality/Process Assurance Lead on a multidisciplinary Product Development Team, responsible for ensuring process compliance to contractual, industry, and internal standards.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience in developing complex systems and applications using Java, C/C++, Electron, React or other object-oriented programming language
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Experience in a Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, particularly in high-concurrency and distributed systems
- Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments
- Experience with Network Communication Protocols, Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, and software debuggers
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
