Solipsys is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team in Fulton, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience as a systems engineer on a software development program, strong background in integrating software and debugging issues, and a degree in STEM. The role involves working closely with USAF representatives, performing software installation and demonstration, and traveling up to 25% domestically and internationally.
Requirements
- Experience as a systems engineer on a software development program
- Strong background in integrating software and debugging issues in a software development environment, including knowledge of Red Hat Linux Operating System
- Experience with Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control systems
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- Experience as an Air Battle Manager (ABM) in the Air Force with in-depth knowledge of the role and the C2 systems that are used in this role
- Adept at communicating (verbal and written) with all levels within and outside the company, ability to prepare and deliver presentations/summaries which appropriate address the intended audience
- Experience working with standard MS Office product suite applications
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance
