Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support the Mission Solutions & Payloads portfolio in the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit. The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management. Responsibilities will span from the front end of the business supply chain activities through contract closure.
Requirements
- Manage and execute material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP)
- Provide Supply Chain support for RLPM activities and ensure IPDP compliance with the programs and tailoring when applicable
- Own supplier management activities and performance to include metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
- Support supply chain proposal activities including pricing and bases of estimates
- Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
- Identify opportunities for small business participation
- Work closely with Engineering, Mission Assurance, and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Monitor and proactively act to address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality and EVM
- Responsible for financial tasks related to material including tracking budgets, targets, initiating & maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
- Flow down Program Requirements and Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans
- Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
