Senior FPGA Design Engineer

The Senior FPGA Design Engineer will develop FPGA designs for major vendors and device families, implement designs using VHDL, and provide design support from requirements definition through integration and test. This role requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. The position is located in McKinney, TX and is an onsite role.

Requirements

• Develop FPGA designs for all major vendors and device families including Xilinx (AMD), Altera (Intel), and Microchip
• Implement designs using VHDL for the following applications: gigabit serial interfaces, Radio Frequency (RF) DSP, controls, data links, embedded processing, and processor interfaces
• Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, architect new designs, collaboratively model algorithms, partition and perform code development, simulation, and implementation
• Verify designs against requirements using both directed test and constrained random test methodologies
• Provide design support from requirements definition through integration and test, including design documentation and configuration management
