The Test Solutions Effectors Center (TSEC) within the Hardware Engineering Discipline is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing Production and Engineering test equipment solutions for all Raytheon products.
Requirements
- Supervise and lead a team of approximately 12-18 section members.
- Conducts formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions with team members.
- Leads by example, adheres to, and ensures alignment with Raytheon Values and Behaviors.
- Establishes meaningful and measurable goals and communicates effectively with their team to ensure alignment with the department and center.
- Ability to design, develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows Operating System (OS)
- Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently
- Drive solutions that work in a field test environment or automation production environment with test solutions that have thermal and vibration testing capabilities
- Work within a multidiscipline engineering team environment
- Interact and engage with Engineering, Operations Managers, Operations PTEs, Directorate leads, Program Leaders and Functional leaders to drive SW test solution readiness and robustness
- Supports Test Equipment Engineering program hiring goals as well as leads the onboarding of new section personnel.
- Mentor junior and mid-career software engineers
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Ten (10) or more years of professional software engineering design experience using C/C++/C# or other closely related software languages.
- Experience working with Windows Based computing environments.
- Experience in factory/laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software (Ex. oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters).
- Extensive experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience presenting to leadership and peers.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain additional Program Area(s) accesses.
- Previous experience with career development and personal skills development of team members
- Experience developing software for field test and/or production test environments
- Previous work experience developing in an object-oriented software environment
- Experience working in Agile development process
- Experience developing and interpreting models to generate software solutions using UML
- Working understanding of the TSEC One Page Process.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience working with software configuration management principles and tools such as Azure, Team Foundation Server
- Past engineering experience working in a matrix organization comprised of multidiscipline design teams across multiple projects with rigorous design disciplines
- Knowledge with a Performance Development Process.
- Knowledge with business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies.
- Experience using DOORS requirements management tool for developing and linking requirements to test procedures
- Development of integration, verification, and validation planning documentation of integration and test plans, procedures, reports, status reports, and other related documentation.
