Job Description
This Principal Engineer role at the Developer Platform organization focuses on defining and executing the technical strategy for key systems and ensuring developer experience. The role involves problem-solving, strategic impact, and leveraging AI to improve productivity and scalability. The ideal candidate will be a key driver of platform evolution, contributing to core engineering work and fostering collaboration across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years of industry experience in Software Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to function at a level equivalent to an Engineering Director
- Deep expertise in a general-purpose programming language (Go, Java, C/C++, Scala, Python) and a mastery of first principles thinking
- Exceptional skills as a Consensus Builder and Cross-Functional Leader
- Experience in architecting and scaling highly available, fault-tolerant Developer Platforms and Infrastructure
- Understanding of how to strategically leverage AI/ML
