Stitcher

Stitcher role involves constructing and altering costumes according to specifications, participating in a team, and demonstrating advanced sewing and finishing skills. The role requires a BFA/BA degree or equivalent experience and 1-3 years of experience in the entertainment industry. The stitcher must be able to work well under tight deadlines and lift at least 20 lbs.

Requirements

• BFA/BA degree in Theatre/Entertainment fields or equivalent professional experience
• 1-3 years of experience in the entertainment industry
• Motivation, dedication, passion, integrity, collaboration, and self-direction
• Advanced skills in hand and machine sewing and finishing
• Demonstrated proficiency in hand sewing techniques
• Knowledge of/and experience in a variety of costume construction techniques
• Ability to collaborate with the costume team
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and vendors
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines, in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs, as well as climb and reach on ladders
• Valid passport for the duration of employment
• Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of exemption)
