At S&C Electric Company, we are seeking a Mold Machine Operator to join our team. As a Mold Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating injection molding machines, setting up molds, and monitoring production. You will work in a production environment and engage in continuous productive activity. The role requires a high degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis. You will also use hand and power tools such as knives, scrapers, engravers, and air-impact tools.
Requirements
- 1+ year of machine operation experience in a production environment
- High School/GED diploma required
- Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as scales and calipers
- Basic knowledge of machine controls and programs
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned materials requests
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments
- Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities, weights, and measurements
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department
- Good critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and understand efforts to improve processes
- Good attention to detail with the ability to complete precise tasks and follow instructions accurately
- Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team
