The Data Steward role is responsible for the authoritative stewardship of U.S. municipal bond datasets, including reference data, terms and conditions, elections, redemptions, and related municipal attributes. The team focuses on data quality, governance, standardisation, and lifecycle ownership, working closely with Operations, Product, Technology, Vendor Management, and external data providers.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree/Post Graduation in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Data Management, or a related field
- Strong experience in municipal bond data, reference data, or fixed-income data management
- Solid understanding of U.S. municipal bond structures, including issuers, series, CUSIPs, elections, redemptions, and market conventions
- Hands-on experience with data quality management, validation, QA/UAT, and issue remediation
- Experience working with multiple data sources and vendors, including reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance concepts, metadata, and documentation practices
- Working knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and automation tools used in enterprise data environments
- Ability to leverage tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, or low-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform)
- Comfortable using tooling to explore datasets, identify anomalies, validate business rules, and improve operational efficiency
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Technology teams by articulating logic, requirements, and expected outcomes, informed by hands-on tool familiarity
