Job Description
Director, APAC Power & Renewables Modeling job at S&P Global Energy. The role involves advancing global power and renewable quantitative analysis and modeling capabilities, with a focus on APAC. Key responsibilities include power dispatch modeling, proprietary forecasting and optimization, integrated analytics and market modeling, and regional integration.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in power market modeling using leading platforms and tools
- Databricks & Data Engineering: Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog
- Machine Learning & Optimization: Advanced Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy); ML frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM)
- Data Handling: Strong SQL; comfort with large multi-region datasets and integration of complicated datasets from various sources
