Regional Safety Advisor

Safety Management Group is seeking a Regional Safety Advisor to work in the utility construction environment. The successful candidate will travel to multiple locations throughout Illinois, conducting site inspections, coaching contractor crews, and implementing safety management programs. This is a contract-to-hire position with the opportunity to transition to full-time after 6 months.

Requirements

• 3 plus years of safety experience - Utility background preferred
• T&D experience
• Ability to work outdoors in all reasonable conditions
• Proficient with effective email correspondence, electronic document development, creating safety-related communications
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team setting
• Ability to lead meetings and initiatives to drive results
• Able to drive to multiple areas around the state
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations at all levels of government, including federal, state, and local
