Radiologic Technologist

Perform radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries in the Student Health Center, and assist with nursing tasks. Maintain a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel and work effectively with patients and families.

Requirements

• Performs radiographic procedures as prescribed by a licensed provider
• Operates Digital Radiography (DR) equipment
• Determines proper technique through the selection of voltage, current, and exposure time
• Positions and instructs patients according to the proper treatment procedures
• Ensures radiologist review is signed and properly uploaded into Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Takes vital signs to assist with rooming patients
• Calls patients to schedule X-Rays if requested by provider and follows up with results
• Ensures all maintenance and physicist reviews are completed on the machine
• Performs EKG examinations
• Maintains venipuncture and lab collections
• Orders supplies as needed
• Cleans lab equipment and autoclave use
• Maintains vaccine compliance in the electronic database
• Gives immunizations
• Performs other duties as assigned
